What Led to the Great Number of Sales of iPhone 17 Pro Max: Is It That Good?

iPhone 17 Pro Max

One of the best tech YouTubers, MKBHD, stated that 56.5% of the iPhone sales came from just the iPhone 17 Pro Max. This is not normal. To put it simply for you, out of every 100 iPhone 17s sold, 56 of them were iPhone 17 Pro Max. This is insane!

But what led to this huge number in sales? Is the iPhone 17 Pro Max that good?

Well, I have been using the iPhone 17 Pro Max as my daily driver since it got delivered to me; as I write this, it’s been more than a good week of real-world usage.

I can now tell whether it is great or people are just jumping in to get their hands on the best iPhone.

If you are considering buying the iPhone 17 Pro Max, you are at the right place. I will be sharing all the details necessary that help you make a sound purchase decision, in this post.

If that sounds great, without much ado, let’s hop right into it.

Things That Improved in the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max

·       Performance

People kept saying that the iPhone 17 Pro Max is a beast mode performer because of better thermals and the new Apple A19 Pro chip. Beast mode is a big claim, and while my older iPhone 16 Pro Max was disappointing, I was skeptical, so full-fledged testing was only natural.

I didn’t want my testing to be interrupted because of the internet, so I made sure to be sorted here. To seamlessly test iPhone 17 Pro Max’s performance inside out, I upgraded my internet plan by dialing the Spectrum customer service number. Anyway, what were the results?

People were right, it is actually a beast mode performer. Let me explain why.

The first reason is its build: aluminum over titanium. Last year’s Pro iPhones were made of titanium, and titanium naturally has a weaker dissipation of heat. iPhone 17 Pro Max has an aluminum body, so it dissipates heat effectively. On top of that, there is a vapor chamber in the phone that keeps it pretty cool during extensive usage, or long gaming sessions. I played COD: Mobile via the Spectrum internet, and the experience was phenomenal. The fps were high and they remained consistent.

As for the other regular tasks, like making videos and editing them, it remained fine. I didn’t face any lags or performance dips while testing it for a longer period.

If you, too, were skeptical of iPhone 17 Pro Max’s performance, don’t! It is really good.

·       Cameras

iPhone’s cameras have always been great, but what differentiates the iPhone 17 Pro Max?

The first change is the new 48MP sensor that is capable of 4x optical zoom, and then there is the consistency among all three lenses.

Previously, the results from the ultrawide and main shooter were the same, but the telephoto lens struggled to maintain consistency in the colors and white balance. Well, this is not the case anymore.

Photos and videos from all three lenses look the same, and they look pretty good.

Also, there is a new 10-bit video mode, which is great. I mean, when you watch the video on MKBHD’s YouTube channel, you experience a part where he made the video via the 10-bit mode. Obviously, it was edited later, but it still looked stunning.

All in all, cameras are certainly improved, and you will love the iPhone 17 Pro Max if cameras are your priority.

·       Battery Life

This year’s iPhone Pro Max is thicker, and I like that because it houses a bigger battery.

The thin iPhone Air has taken the aesthetics off the shoulder of the Pro variants. They have gone fat, have more juice, and are very difficult to kill within a day. I mean, the battery life is super good.

I had a 9-hour-long gaming session on it, and it was still at 7% battery by the end of it. This is amazing for those who hate charging their phones in the middle of their phone activities.

Things I Wish Were Better in the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max

·       Wireless Charging Speed

There are things that I want to have on the iPhone 17 Pro Max because I am paying around 1200 bucks for a phone. Wireless charging speed is the most important of them all.

It is an ultimate flagship phone, but 25W of wireless charging is not something I want in my expensive phone. I want it faster. Other competitors have started to do 45W of wireless charging, while Apple is still stuck at 25W.

Apple, if you are reading this, please improve it.

·       Color

Last but not least, the colors are amazing on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but it is missing one important color, which is black. I mean, what were they thinking when they took the most adored color (at least by me) in the world?!

This year’s iteration of the iPhone 17 Pro Max comes in these colors: Deep Blue, Silver, and Cosmic Orange. I miss the black color, and this iPhone would have looked stunning in that color.

Anyway, that is it for my review of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Overall, it is a great phone, and if you are planning to upgrade from an older iPhone like the 15, it is worth it.
